UNE 12464-1 What level of light do I need?

Having facilities with lighting and uniformity adapted to the needs of users is a requirement subject to regulation.

In this article, we will focus on the lighting required for certain installations present in the industry and stores where they can use our Led high bay, the information summarized here is based on the requirements of the UNE EN 12464 standard.

EUROPEAN INDOOR LIGHTING STANDARD

The Parliament and the Council of the European Union published in 2002 the directive 2002/91 / CE of obligatory conformity for the member countries, of which Spain, the standard UNE 12464-1 in the course of preparation by the European Commission of standardization which envisages the lighting of interior workplaces.

This rule must be respected in all infinity projects for workstations.

How many units of LED high bays and how much power do I need?

Once you know the average level of lighting required, you can quickly consult the tab of our LED high bays, by accessing the tab "Where to use it?" How much power and quantity does the Em [lux] level suitable for the job to be performed need?

In this tab, you will find different light simulations depending on the height and spacing of the luminaires, all meeting the minimum uniformity value required ≥ 0.40 and with different Em [lx], you can quickly and easily find out which option best suits your needs.
